I only knew you as YiaYia. I barely spoke with you (because I do not speak Greek), but, I was able to know you. You were a wonderful woman, whose eyes spoke so clearly. You loved and were loved, You epitomized the American dream; when one comes from another country and works hard. You raised an amazing family. Your love, strength and eternal wonder lives on in your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thank you for bringing your family here to New London. Those of us who were lucky enough to meet you, have been blessed. I will forever be a better person for having known you and your family. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Papathanasiou. Be at rest with your sons.
