Frances Ellis Obituary
Frances was born Dec. 1, 1922, in Norwich, the daughter of William Denker and Helen(Byrne) Denker. She was the granddaughter of John F. Byrne, originator of the "Famous Brothers Byrne" theatrical troupe.
She was united in marriage to Robert W. Ellis on April, 29, 1950. They settled in Gales Ferry in 1956 where she was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a member of the Ledyard Seniors. Her late husband, who was a retired Navy veteran, died in 1992.
She is survived by a son, William W. Ellis of Alaska; a daughter, Susan M. Billing of Gales Ferry; and three grandchildren, Katherine Billing, Adrienne Pratt and Kaelin Ellis.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Hollis Ann Ellis; sister, Marjorie Sweeting; and her brothers, Thomas and William Denker.
Donations in her memory may be made to The Gales Ferry Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 144, Gales Ferry, CT 06335.
There will be a graveside service announced at a later date.

Dear Susan and Bill, You probably don't remember my husband and I, but we docked our boat in Gales Ferry near your parents. I used to see your wonderful Mom occasionally to the grocery store in Gales Ferry before we moved to FL in 2003. We often talk about the fun times we all had at the marina!
