East Lyme - James C. Falconer, 67, of Niantic, passed away on Tuesday July 10, 2012, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, New London.|
Jim was born in Miles City, Mont. to Dorothy and Paul Falconer on Dec. 12, 1944. His early years were spent with his siblings, Doug, Paula, and Christine. Jim pursued his love of music at Concordia College in Minnesota. He met his wife, Naomi Fiora, in Denver, Colo. in 1973, they married in 1977, and moved to Connecticut where they had two children, Ariel and Julian Falconer. Jim worked at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts as the director of financial aid and registrar for almost 20 years.
Jim's perpetual optimism, caring nature, and sense of humor brought joy to everyone in his life. Jim found happiness through singing in several regional choirs, was an avid audiophile, entrepreneur, and car lover, and loved spending time with his family. We lost him unexpectedly on July 10, 2012, when he passed away from cardiac and respiratory complications. Jim was a wonderful husband, a great father, and we will carry him in our hearts.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church, New London for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to Heifer International, and send your love and prayers to his family, who will forever miss having him with us. Namaste. Peace be with you.
