Jean Littleton Obituary
Born in Westerly, on Oct. 27, 1921, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Isabelle (Gaw) Crockett.
Jean was employed by the Town of Groton in the Tax Collector's office for many years before her retirement. She had also worked at the former Plymouth Rubber Co. and Hamilton Standard.
Jean was a life member of Christ Church in Westerly. She was a Past Matron of the Ruth Chapter Order of the Eastern Star in Pawcatuck and an honorary member of the Deborah Chapter Order of the Eastern Star in Westerly. She was proud to be an organist for both chapters. Jean was also a Life Associate Member of the Westerly Yacht Club.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Dwight David Littleton of Florida and Andrew M. Littleton of Pawcatuck.
She was predeceased by her brother, Cannon William David Crockett.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Episcopal Church, corner of Elm and Broad Streets, Westerly. Burial will follow in River Bend Cemetery, Beach St., Westerly.
