Lucille Bergeson Obituary
She was born Jan. 5, 1934, in New London, the daughter of the late Frederick and Maude (Robinson) Burdick. Mrs. Bergeson graduated from the former Williams Memorial Institute, class of 1942. She was united in marriage to Axel G. Bergeson Sr. on April 11, 1943, in First Christian Church in Missouri, Mr. Bergeson Sr. died June 14, 1993. Lucille worked at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital as the evening manager in the gift shop, retiring after 30 years.
Lucille enjoyed traveling to New Mexico with her late husband and family. During her travels to the mid-west, she became very partial to turquoise, silver jewelry and attending balloon festivals.
She is survived by two children, Gary Bergeson of Groton and Jill Wile of Oakdale; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by a son, Axel G. Bergeson Jr.; and four siblings, Carlisle, Frederick and Ruthaford Burdick and Mildred Brown.
Her family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London.
A funeral home service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, followed by interment in Jordan Cemetery.

To the family of Lucielle,
She was a TRUE INSPIRATION to all that new her. A very upbeat POSITIVE person. I LOVED talking to her whenever I went into the Lobby Shop which was alot. Very sweet lady. Really admired all her turquoise pieces.May she forever R.I.P.
