Marilyn Kononchik Obituary

Groton - Marilyn Jane Kononchik, 83, of Groton, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at the Groton Regency.

Jane was born in Williamsport, Pa., April 2, 1930, the daughter of Earl and Ruth (Snyder) Grier. She graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1948.

Jane was married to Jerry Kononchik who passed away in Oct. 1983. She was an avid reader and a devoted Yankee fan, who will be remembered for her feisty spirit and doing things her way till the end.

Jane is survived by her children, Judy McGuirk and her husband, Michael, of Mystic, Arvid J. Anderson III and his wife, Betsy, of Waterford and Stacey Hodge and her husband, David, of Groton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Denver Smith and Dominique Hodge; and her great-grandchildren, Dawson, Trevor and Taylor.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Ashlee Anderson.

All services will be private.
