Mary Murphy Obituary
She was born Jan. 28, 1928, the daughter of Harold Dodd and Ruth (Davis) Pendelton.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana Hackett of Owens Mills, Md.; son, Steven Murphy of Arlington, Va.; two grandsons, Jeremy and Joshua Hackett.
Mary graduated from the Williams Memorial Institute, Class of 1946, and always remained friends with her classmates. She studied in New York City and became a dietician. She traveled extensively with her military husband but returned to her former home by the Niantic River. She loved the river and for many years fed the birds there.
She loved her dogs and was seldom without one.
At her wishes there will be no funeral service. Mary will be buried with her parents in Jordan Cemetery. Her many friends will miss her.
The Thomas L. Neilan and Sons Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
