LOVE BABE

Alice Miraglia

April 25, 2013

Mike, I know you knew how much I loved you with all my heart and soul. Saying goodbye to you was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Know that I would rather be with you than to face life without you. I have no idea how to go on. We had a love like no other. We were cheated out of 18 years of our 46 together, but you left me with so many wonderful memories of our time together, and I will cherish them forever. From the moment we met I new you were someone special. We had two beautiful daughters together, and that is what keeps me going. Watch over them and their families. Watch over me. I need you now more than ever! the only thing that gives me peace is knowing your suffering is over. Rest in peace my love. Until we can be together again you will always be in my heart. LOVE BABE

You both were the funniest and best people to be around!! It was never a dull moment and I will cherish all the memories and time I spent with him and you!!! I wish there was something I could do! He was a great man! I wish I could have been half the man he was even after everything he went through he kept on and always had a way of making bad situations funny!!! Just know that I'm thinking of you all and I hope with all my heart you get through this ok!!! I truly love you all and again I am soooooo sorry for your loss.

I cant believe this day has come so soon. Rest in Peace Dad! We all love you and will miss you forever! You were a great man. You taught us all so much but this battle has gone on too long for you. Mom used to say you treated me like the son you never had but it helped me be the "farm girl" that I am. Rest easy now and watch over us all and protect us from the heaven above. You have been called home to rest. Say hi to all the others that are already there. All the memories will live on forever in our hearts. Until we meet again...I love you!

Thank you to all for the kind words and thoughts for the last few days. This has been a long road to peace for my dad. I am very proud to have had such a wonderful man for a father. Words cannot express the honor we all felt as the funeral procession made its way to the cemetery and we witnessed the man on the corner salute his casket as we drove by. I thank him for that. And the young soldier who presented the flag to my mom with tears in his eyes and sorrow in his voice and the other young soldier who presented us with the shell casings from the military honors, you will be in my heart forever and may God watch over you as you continue to serve our country. You made that moment special and for that I thank you. To the many that attended, thank you all as it meant a great deal to our family. May he now rest in peace under that tree just as he wanted. Love you Dad!

Phyllis, Alice and Family,
I was saddened to hear of Mike's passing.
We were neighbors of the family for many years when we were younger and the one thing I remember the most is his smile. May your hearts always be filled happy memories.
