Nancy Feeney Obituary
She was born in New London, Feb. 12, 1939, the daughter of Aloysius and Anna Jezeski. She graduated New London High School in 1957.
Nancy was a very talented artist, seamstress, craftswoman, sharing her works of art with just about everyone that she crossed paths with. In her younger years, she was a homemaker, then she was self-employed until retiring four years ago. She enjoyed reading, music, beaches, Cape Cod, and keeping busy with crafts.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Murphy of Groton; sons, Dennis Feeney (wife, Angelina) of Hixson, Tenn., Michael Feeney (fiancé, Teri Nofer) of Amston, and John Feeney Jr. of Quaker Hill; daughter, Mary Feeney (partner, Raymond Williams) of Norwich; grandchildren, Edwin Gibbons III, Dustyn Larsen and Brandy Williams. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, David Jezeski of Idaho; sisters, Margret "Peggy" Cramer, and Kathryn Edgar, both of New London; and her daughter, Cynthia (Feeney) Taylor of Norwich.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been established in her name through the New London Education Foundation for a New London High School senior who has exhibited a passion for, and excellence in, the arts and will continue their education and pursue their love of the arts. I am so sorry for you loss. Nancy has been a very dear friend to me. I always enjoyed and will now treasure the time we spent together. I was blessed with her friendship for many, many years. When I was unable to continue to go out, she would always make time to stop in and visit with me over a cup of coffee. Every year, she would present hand made gifts that showed how truly talented she was. She was a very dear friend to me. I know that words, however kind, can't mend your heartache: but those who care and share your loss wish you comfort and peace of mind.

Nancy worked for me at Sunset Ribs for several years. I enjoyed our chats and especially loved all the painted shells she would make for me. They will be treasured. Condolences to your family, she will be greatly missed!

Nancy was without a doubt one of the most kindhearted, generous, thoughtful people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I enjoyed working with her so many years ago. She was always so positive and full of laughter and humor, just being around her would lift anyone's spirits. I am so saddened to here that she has passed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of mourning.

Dennis, Mike, John, and Mary,
I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was a great lady. Even after moving out of the neighborhood I could always count on seeing your mom sitting on the front lawn catching the
rays and her waving to me whenever I came to visit my mom. If there is anything I can do please let me know.

Mary, Dennis, John, Mike, Brandy, Dustyn, Edwin, I am so saddended at the loss of your mother and grandmother. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I will miss Nancy terribly, as she was my friend, seamstress for my skating dresses, and I always looked forward to spending time with her just before Christmas, loved seeing what latest art or craft project she was working on. She was the most kind, caring, sweet, and funny woman and definitely one-of-a-kind. If you need anything please don't hesitate to call me.

So sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. I recall weekend getaway I took with her to Cap Cod. It was a memorable experience. She also cleaned my mother's home when she could not do it herself. I also remember Nancy as a past patron on the Quaker Hill post office. Where I was a clerk for many years. Nancy will have a special place in my heart.
