Paul Losacano Obituary
Paul was born to the late Albert A. and Anna H. Losacano of New London, on Nov. 25, 1945. He graduated from New London High School in 1961, and immediately left for the U.S. Marines for two years and was honorably discharged in 1963.
Paul and Carol were united in marriage on June 1, 1963, at the First Baptist Church in New London. Carol predeceased Paul on March 23, 2013.
He leaves behind his beloved three daughters, Brenda Ann and husband, Allen Choate, their daughter, Megan E. and son, Paul W. Shaw of East Lyme, Lisa Ann Swanson and her two daughters, Sydney P., and Addie E., and son, Hyden A. Swanson of East Lyme, and Paula A. Brown, her daughter, Kayla M. and son, Ryan P. Archer of Groton. Paul will be sadly missed by his seven grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Paul also leaves behind two siblings, brother, Albert A. Losacano Jr. and his wife, Mary, and sister, Judith and her husband, George Godard, of Waterford; many nieces and nephews; and a host of very close friends.
Paul retired from Electric Boat in January 2011, serving 48 challenging years in many positions of responsibility as a design tech, including a term of recording secretary of the Marine Draftsmen Association-UAW Local 571.
Paul's greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his family and hosting family functions at his home. Paul's love of playing golf had developed over the last few years, and he played as often as possible, joining the RGPA Wednesday League at Pequot, where he made many friends over the years. Paul never ceased to help friends and relatives with whatever task was at hand, never asking for anything in return.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic. Interment will follow in East Lyme Cemetery, Boston Post Road. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, at the funeral home.

To Paul and Carol's daughters - My thoughts are with you. I don't think anything really prepares us enough for the loss of our parents. I just learned that your mother left you in March, and now your father. I would often speak of your father as an example of someone who takes pride in his home and yard. I would speak about my neighbor who is up and busy on the weekends mowing or mulching or even building before I even have my first cup of coffee. He had great energy. I will miss knowing he was there.
