Ralph Mundell Obituary

Martinsburg, W.Va. - Ralph R. Mundell, 91, of Martinsburg, W.Va., passed away on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, in Middletown, Ohio.

Born April 12, 1922, in Windham, he was the son of the late James I. Mundell and Irene (Pierce) Mundell.

He was a retired Washington, D.C. metro operator and a member of the Independent Bible Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.

He is survived by a brother, Richard of Groton; three sons, Rev. David R. Mundell of Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael M. Mundell of West Palm Beach, Fla., and James I. Mundell II of Winchester, Va.; a daughter, Diana L. Lilly of Jennings, Fla.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl M. Mundell; two brothers, Carl and Earl Mundell; and two sisters, Sylvia Jackson and Lois Mundell.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Independent Bible Church with Pastor Mark Johnson and Rev. David R. Mundell officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday in Panorama Memory Gardens in Strasburg, Va. Family will receive friends from 10 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church.

Arrangements are by the Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg, W.Va.
