Theresa Bliven Obituary
She was born Oct. 17, 1937, in New London, the daughter of the late Philip and Mary (Zito) Jullarine. Theresa attended local schools and graduated from New London High School, Class of 1955. She was united in marriage to Ernest A. Bliven in 1976, Mr. Bliven died in 1999.
Mrs. Bliven was employed for over 35 years for the New London Public Schools, working in the cafeteria at Benny Dover Middle School. She loved her family and attending fairs such as the Big E, Sea Fest and going to the casino.
She is survived by her son, Antonio "Tony" Valero of Groton. A brother, Michael Jullarine; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by two children, David and Sabrina Valero.
Her family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Guests are asked to gather for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, in St. Paul Church, 170 Rope Ferry Road, Waterford. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery.

I was so saddened to hear of Theresa's death. I have known Theresa all of my life and knew her to be a very fun, kind and caring woman. I know she will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew her and loved her. My deepest condolences go out to her family.

I was saddened to hear of Theresas passing. I also was reminded of the fun we had growing up on Chappell st. Theresa was a kind and giving person and lets not forget Her culinary achievements.
