William Fargo Obituary
He was born in New London, on Nov. 17, 1928, the son of William F. Fargo Sr. and Ella (Parker) Fargo.
He was the husband of Jacqueline Fargo, who predeceased him in 2008.
Mr. Fargo was retired from the Electric Boat in Groton, where he had been employed as a carpenter. A veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy, he was a past commander of the VFW in Deland, Fla., and was a former member of the VFW Post in New London. He was a member of the Carpenters and Joiners Union Local 1302. He was a member of the board of directors of the former Surfers Drum & Bugle Corps of New London. Mr. Fargo was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, canoeing, and camping, and was a fan of UConn and the Connecticut Sun women's basketball.
Mr. Fargo is survived by a son, John Fargo of New London; a daughter, Susan Fargo of Willimantic; two brothers, George Fargo of Mystic, Donald Fargo of Westerly; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. Interment will be private. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the 7th Regiment Drum Corps or to the McSweeney Senior Center in Willimantic.

Sorry hear Mr.Fargo have pass on , many time i would walk cross the street to see the drum and bugle corp. practices was so good because of him put together a uniques group of peoples of all kind.
Although i know John in High School he also was a great young man. So my last sound of the bugle corp. silences and strength, heaven, marking on.
