Mystic - Arlene M. (Davis) Gouvin, 84, beloved wife for 62 years of Donald P. Gouvin of Mystic, passed away at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital on Saturday, July 28, 2012.|
Born in Hartford, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Bertha Davis.
Arlene was employed in the payroll department for Bostich for many years. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her butter cake. She loved to shop and spoil her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Michael P. Gouvin and his wife, Kim, of Voluntown, Timothy A. Gouvin and his wife, Claire, and Cindy J. Williams and her husband, Steven, all of Pawcatuck; a brother, Richard Davis of Rhode Island; sisters, Shirley Pitas of Maine and Doris Davis of Dayville; as well as four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Arlene was predeceased by a sister, Marion Clark.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours to be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
