New London - Christina C. Beemer, 78, of Woodlawn Road, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.
She was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on April 16, 1934, the daughter of Robert and Ann Bell.
She was the wife of Timothy Beemer, who survives her.
We wished we had a crystal ball that we could look into to see just how much time we had left to do all we meant to do. You showered us with love and did your best to keep us together. You sacrificed your own needs to do what you thought was better. You fought so hard for all these years, you're the strongest woman we ever knew. Now it's impossible to hold back the tears, cause of our never ending love for you. You'll be sadly missed by us all.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert Beemer of New London, and John Evans of Hollywood, Fla.; three daughters, Lorraine Tanke of Battleground, Wash., Cheryl Schulte of Romona, Calif., Lilleen Walters of Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. Interment will be private.
