Waterford - Craig S. Trowbridge, 53, of Waterford, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.|
Craig was born on Sept. 17, 1959, in New London, the son of Robert M. and Shirley (Baxter) Trowbridge. He graduated from New London High School in 1977, and began working as a pipefitter at Electric Boat and worked there for over 30 years. Most recently, he was working as a designer.
Craig loved to fish and enjoyed working in his yard. He was a family man, and loved spending time with his wife Robin and their two beloved dogs, Peanut and Velvet, at their home in Waterford. He was loved by all who knew him and was a great friend to everyone.
Besides his wife, Robin, he is survived by two sisters, Roberta Mills and Denise Trowbridge; two brothers, Albert Harris and Kenneth Wimberly; 11 nieces and nephews; and 24 great-nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; a niece, Alexa Sobiech; and a nephew, Mark A. Welch.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London. Calling hours will be held at 3 p.m. until the start of the service. Burial will be private.
