I had the pleasure of caring for Mr. Ward at an area rehab center. What a genuine gift! I was touched and humbled. Loved him immediately. My best to all of you.

I used to go to Groton Bible Chapel for a while when I lived in Connecticut. All I can do is echo all the good things said about Pastor Ward here.

I have had the pleasure of knowing and learning from Dave for the past 45 years and would be hard-pressed to think of another individual more dedicated to truly living the life of Christ. His knowledge of the Scripture, teaching ability and impact on countless lives is immeasurable. His mission here on earth is now complete. How appropriate that he will be able to attend the Lord's birthday celebration this year!

My prayers for God's comfort and His peace go out to all the family members of David Ward. For me and so many of us - what a blessing, honor, and privilege it was to have known Dave! It might be a bittersweet time for some family members but I'm sure for many it is more of a sweet time of praise and thanksgiving for his life knowing he is now with the Lord and reunited with Elsie as well as many others who knew him and preceded him in going home. So many of us will miss Dave and Elsie, but we are comforted with God's peace and that blessed hope that we will see them again in due time and join with them in praising the Lord in heaven.

I have known Dave for sixty years. The Wards/Weiser/Henson/Hultgren families have been there for each other since I can remember. Dave did not let much get by him. When a young brat at teen camp I had one of my many "bad" ideas and decided to "skip" evening chapel with my cabin mate, Sue. We hid under the dark porch of Ruby sitting in the dirt and killing BIG spiders. When we felt it safe we strolled up to the chapel and tried to blend in with the campers coming out of the chapel . People were crying, hugging each other and talking about how that was the best most wonderful life changing service EVER . YES, I felt stupid! I was so mad at myself. At least we did not get caught..... The next morning as we entered the dining hall Mr. Ward pulled us aside and told us how much he missed our sweet little faces at chapel AND we would be staying after each meal to sweep and help clean in kitchen. I have not missed a camp service since. I LOVE YOU DAVE WARD and many thanks for all the love and care you bestowed on my family.

We first came under the blessed teaching of Dave Ward in 1972 when we moved back to CT. He taught us so much about what God says through His Word. Dave was a man who was always personally interested in your life and spiritual welfare. His life was a true example of discipleship and devotion to Jesus as Lord. We will miss Dave greatly but are blessed by the testimony of his life and his passing into a much better life. Our deepest sympathy to his family and all who loved him.

How many of us can call Dave Ward their "spiritual father"? Those of us who sat under his teaching for 30 or more years, I guess. I learned two important things from Dave and they were (1) what the Bible teaches, and (2) how to teach it. I recall a Good Friday service at which Dave was a participant. He was followed by a pastor who began his part by saying, "Dave Ward is a tough act to follow"! In that service Dave had said, "Jesus wants to come to live with me in my house, and someday He will have me go to live with Him in His house". I believe that Dave has now been welcomed "home". So, we, with his family and friends, are saddened by his passing, but there is a sense of triumph as we remember how he conducted his life for the Lord.
With our deepest sympathy,

What an amazing man of God. He certainly lived what he believed. Dave would go visit my father in his last days and sing to him. He married me and my husband and my daughter and her husband. He will be fondly remembered. I know he was looking forward to Glory.

I remember one of Dave's favorite verses John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son for who ever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. What a great ministry Dave passed on to the next generation so they may know the love of our Lord. My prays and thoughts are with the family.
