Eileen E. Radicioni Obituary
Montville - Eileen E. Radicioni, 78, of Oakdale, entered eternal life on Nov. 29, 2012.

She was born Sept. 2, 1934, in Oakdale, the daughter of late Christopher and Valerie (Kobelski) Hess. She attended local schools and was a graduate of the first class of New London High School in 1952.

Eileen married her high school sweetheart, Donald Radicioni, on Jan. 22, 1955, in the former All Saints Church in Montville. Mr. Radicioni survives her.

Employed for 28 years as a loan specialist for the former Beneficial Finance Co., Eileen always considered her most important job as being there to care for her children, and in later years, her adoring grandchildren. Mrs. Radicioni was a communicant of St. Mathias Church in East Lyme.

Besides her beloved husband of 57 years, she is survived by four children, Tammy (Larry) DeFrancesco of Madison, Donald W. (Maria) Radicioni, Brad Radicioni, and Todd Radicioni, all of Oakdale; six grandchildren, Jason and Evan DeFrancesco, Vincent DeMarco, Torin, Morgan, and Mya Radicioni; and three siblings, Sandra Fisher of Waterford, Karen Scheck and Donald Hess, both of Oakdale.

Breaking her heart, her younger brother, Chris Hess of Oakdale, predeceased her.

In life, Eileen was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed nature, bird watching, her flowers, snowfalls, sunshine, and cooking. She took great pleasure in preparing meals and sharing them with her family and friends. She was an intensely private person, a loving confidant, and a true friend who asked for nothing in return. She loved and protected her family fiercely and she will be forever missed.

Eileen's loved ones ask family and friends to gather at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, 17 Squire St., New London. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are to be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 3883 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851 or Stroke Center c/o Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, 365 Montauk Ave., New London, CT 96320.

The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London, has been entrusted with arrangements.
