New London - George Anthony "Ohio" Taylor Sr., 57, of 202 Coleman St., New London, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 6, 2012.

Born in Piqua, Ohio, the son of Darrell and the late Eula Jean Taylor. He graduated from high school entered the U.S. Navy in 1972. He also worked as a house manager for Stonington Institute. He loved watching movies and spending time with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Minnie Irene Taylor; his children, Viola Cook and Al "Pop" Bundy, George Taylor Jr., Ida Taylor and her husband, Maurice Drye, Darrell Taylor, Krystal Taylor, and Taj Perry.

In addition to his wife and children, he leaves to mourn his grandchildren, Rahshad Perry, Ti'Yanna Anselmo, Nikiah Perry, Rahtrel Perry, Dehjah Drye, Jamel Hayslett, and Taj Perry Jr.; biological mother, Margaret Pannell of Youngstown, Ohio; brother, Kent Taylor of Indianapolis, Ind.; sisters, Jeannie Taylor of Columbus, Ohio, Tamyra Hobson of Dayton, Ohio, Tayana Pannell of Youngstown, Ohio, and Vicky Gayner of Kennesaw, Ga.; brother, Terry Bolds of McKinney, Texas; mother-in-law, Viola Cook; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was predeceased by a brother, John Taylor and grandson, Rahmel Perry.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Walls Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, 16 Belden St., New London. Burial will be held privately for the family. A Repast Celebration will be held on Thursday at the American Legion-Post 9, 74 Garfield Ave., New London.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Lester Gee Funeral Home, 108 Blinman St., New London.
