I had Harry as a student in my Avery Point accounting class - I tell his story of grit all the time at the beginning of each semester of how he finished my course with a passing grade but knew he could do better. He audited every class the following fall significantly demonstrating improved mastery allowing me ti change his grade. He was a special student.

Honestly, he randomly popped into my head yesterday for really no reason - only to find out today that yesterday was the anniversary of his passing. Perhaps he was just "saying hello".

I know that I have already written something about Harry but I wanted to thank everyone for their condolasences. My brother Robert and My mom are trying to deal with Harry's death. As it was pointed out his death was unexpected. I still believe it is a nightmare. I still want to believe he is here. There are times that I want to go and see him even though I did not much when he was with us which I do regret. I just want to hold him again and let him know that I love him with all my heart. I look at his picture and begin to cry. My brother Robert and I support each other and I support my mom for now. It helps her when she has company. Harry I will always keep you in my heart. I remember the good times we have had like Hide and seek as kids and you went hanging out of the 2nd floor window to hide. We had to find someone to get you up from the window. You was always doing something crazy. Love you so much Harry. Till we meet again.

Harry you will be very missed. I feel like there is a void in my life now. I feel like it was not suppose to be this way. We grew up together and it was always us 3. Your sister LOVES you so much. I hurt at times and others times just giving thanks that you are not suffering anymore. Although it does not take the pain away. I smile at times when I think about you just thinking all the great holiday's we had together. My God's angels take you home to be with our Lord.

I had the pleasure of having Harry in my accounting courses at Avery Point. He was one of those student who didn't grasp the material easily, but boy did he have tenacity. In the 5 years since, I have used his example to inspire countless accounting students. He even tutored them at the Academic Center having gone through similar struggles. I would bump into him on campus from time to time afterwards -- what a presence. I am truly saddened by our collective loss, but again, his example has and will continue to inspire my teaching and my students' learning for at least the end of my tenure. THANK YOU HARRY!

What can you say about Harry...his wit and humor were like no other. I worked at Cape Cod Crafters in Mystic and he would call pretending to be the UPS man saying he was in Cape Cod looking for our store ....of course you start to explain your in Ct.then he would start laughing ...I will always remember him...

Harry, you snuck up me, and are stuck in my heart now. You once made me a remarkable grilled cheese sandwich, a late-night snack, in your kitchen. I want to be better at everything I do when I think about you. I miss seeing you down the street, walking Juno, or waving from your car when I'm walking my guys. Right now I'm drinking from a cup that we saw at Starbucks after Christmas and I said I liked it and you bought i for me. You were that kind of guy. You bought me a light sabre. Who does that? You do. You did. I will try to live-up to the mark you set with being a fun, generous spirit. You had a gift for making people better. I intend to carry that on with your picture in my head. Rest in peace, Harry. You are gone from us too soon, my friend, too soon.
