James O. Wright Obituary
Homosassa, Fla. - James O. Wright of Homosassa, 75, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at home surrounded by his family, following a long illness.

He was the son of the late Herman O. and Caroline (Mayo) Wright. Jim grew up in Charlestown and Hope Valley, R.I. He later moved to Groton and was well known for his Country & Western music throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island, he also made several recordings. He was an avid baseball player and fan.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Joann; as well as six children, Brian of Norwalk, Cathy of Groton, Terry of Bellingham, Mass., Lisa of East Lyme, Joann of Groton, and James of Old Saybrook. He is also survived by his five step-children, Candy, Denise, Betty, Ruth, Jon and spouses, all of Homasassa, Fla. He also leaves four brothers and sisters, Mable I. Perkins and Joe Wright both of Connecticut, and Carol A. Martin and John Wright both of Rhode Island and spouses. He will be sadly missed by his entire family including his eleven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by Barbara L. Fields and Herman O. Wright Jr.

Memorial Services were held on Nov, 14, 2012, at Fountain Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Homosassa, Fla.

A Sunset Memorial Service was held on Nov. 16, 2012 at Eastern Point Beach, Groton.
