Norwich - Jeffrey Ronald Johns, 44, formerly of East Lyme, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at his residence.
He was born in New London, on Dec. 30, 1967, the son of Joyce Ann (West) Johns and the late Ronald F. Johns.
Jeff graduated from East Lyme High School and worked for the last 14 years as corrections officer at York Correctional Institute, East Lyme. Jeff's pride and joy were his children, he cherished being a father. His favorite quote to his children was "Stay Gold"
Besides his mother, he is survived by his son, Tucker Johns; and a daughter, Britney Holmes; two brothers, Michael and Mark Johns.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic.
