Montville - Jesse J. LaTorre, 49, beloved husband of Jennifer (Grills) LaTorre, of Cherry Lane, Oakdale, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013.

Born in Jersey City, N.J., he was a son of Estelle Burdick of Norwich, and the late Joseph LaTorre. Jesse was a U.S. veteran of Desert Storm, retiring after 22 years of service in the Air Force.
He was a commander at the Montville VFW Post 10060 Montville, a junior vice commander of the 4th District and a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. He was a musician playing guitar in many local bands, an avid Patriots fan, and enjoyed golfing and coaching youth sports.
In addition to his wife and mother, Jesse will be sadly missed by his son, Joshua LaTorre of Newark, N.J.; and his daughter, Nichole LaTorre of Taiwan, China; his brothers, Vernon Burdick and Mark Burdick, both of North Carolina; and a sister, Susan Clarke of Tacoma, Wash.
He was predeceased by his brother, Robert LaTorre.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, in St. Mary's Church, 95 Main St., Stonington. Burial will be private.
