Yucca Valley, Calif. - John Evard Drake, 59, passed away Monday morning, Sept. 17, 2012.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen J. Drake of New London. He had been a patient at Sky Harbor Care Center in Yucca Valley for some time, following a massive stroke.
Before his illness, he was a professional tractor trailer driver, working in each of the lower 48 states.
Besides his parents, he leaves two brothers, and a sister, Robert and his wife, Thomasene, of Monticello, Ga., Howard and his wife, Patricia, of Madison, and Georjana and her husband, Phillip Drake, of Summerville, S.C.; and three nephews, Casey, Sean and Joshua.
Burial will be in Yucca Valley.
