Norwich - Kimberly Lynne (Franz) Kessler, 52, of Taftville, passed away at home in her husband's arms after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Kimberly was born in Germany, on July 5, 1960, to Paul and Martha (Cook) Franz. She graduated from San Diego State University and went on to pursue her passion for child advocacy as director of the Child Development Center at Naval Station Newport.
On Sept. 23, 2006, in Stonington, she married her beloved husband, George. Together with their loving families, adored friends, and precious pup, "Rosie", they lived, loved, and laughed, enjoying every day to the fullest. At her homes in Connecticut and Canada Lake, N.Y., Kimberly danced through life, always with a smile.
Kimberly is survived by her husband, George; her mother, Martha; a step-daughter, Kristin LaLima; a brother, Brian Franz; three nephews; and countless friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Paul Franz.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, at Versailles United Methodist Church, 4 Church St., Versailles, CT 06383. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
