Montville - Lisa Rene (Pellish) Satiro, 52, died unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at her home in Uncasville.
The Guest Book is expired.
She was born Nov. 15, 1960, in Spokane, Wash., to Stefan Pellish and Donna Mansfield, but lived most of her life in Connecticut. After completing high school in Stonington, she worked many jobs including bartending, waitressing, managing a family restaurant and a convenience store. Later in life, she found joy driving "big rig" tractor-trailers cross-country. She loved traveling to new places and was truly a "free spirit" in every sense of the word. Her happiness only grew in the company of her family and her pets.
On May 9, 1987, she married her beloved husband, Joseph, on Ocean Beach in New London.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Satiro III; as well as her parents and step-parents; her daughter, Victoria Satiro; siblings, Daniel Pellish and S. Alexander Pellish; step-children, Joseph Satiro IV and Celeste Satiro; six grandchildren; and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the Montville Funeral Home of Church & Allen, 53 Norwich-New London Turnpike, Uncasville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Eastern Connecticut Hematology and Oncology (ECHO) Cancer Foundation, 330 Washington St., Suite 220, Norwich, CT 06360.
