Montville - Maryanne Baron-McNally, of Oakdale, passed away Feb. 4, 2013, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.
The Guest Book is expired.
She was born June 6, 1946, in Hartford, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude Baron. She was a 1964 graduate of Buckley High School.
She started her career at Travelers Insurance in Hartford and then became a medical secretary at Hartford Hospital and later at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London.
She was married to William McNally on April 19, 1969, until his unexpected death on Dec. 9, 1991.
It was then that she learned to enjoy life and all it had to offer. She and her kids took two cruises together, and she loved being with them. She had stopped working to raise her children until they were older. Maryanne then went to work at the Stop & Shop Deli in Waterford for 20 years. She then worked at BJ's Wholesale Club for another six years until her health failed, and then she retired permanently enjoying each day.
Maryanne kept herself busy with her cat Tiger who she enjoyed so much. She loved cooking, shopping, and talking with her numerous friends, Dolly, Judy, Ginny, Mary, Sally, Barbara, Dee, and so many more. She was blessed to be loved by so many.
Maryanne always had a great sense of humor and despite her many heath issues, fought and won her battle with cancer. God has called her home to ease her suffering.
She is survived by two children, son, Thomas McNally of Oakdale, with whom she made her home, and her daughter, Debbie McNally of Waterford. She is also survived by her three grandchildren who she cherished and adored, Justin and Jared Parker and Ryan Waselik.
A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Norwich New London Turnpike. Calling hours will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be private for the family.
