Mildred A. Gula Obituary
New London - Mildred A. Gula, 83, of Harris Road, died on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, New London.

She was born in Norwich, the daughter of the late John and Victoria (Kork) Zoladz. She was the widow of the late John Gula Sr.; Mr. Gula died April 2, 2001.

Mildred was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church where she was active in the Ladies Guild and served as the group's treasurer. She was also a member of the church choir. She was a member of the sewing club and a member of the Polish American Club of New London.

She is survived by three sons, John Gula Jr. of New London, Gary Gula and his wife, Deborah, of Farmington, Daniel Gula and his wife, Martina, of New London; a daughter, Kathleen Spencer of New London; a brother, John Zoladz of Bradenton, Fla.; three grandchildren, Meghan Gula of New London and Bill and Andrew Gula, both of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, James Gula and sister-in-law, Jane Gula.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers and six sisters.

A Mass of Christina Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Quaker Hill. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New London. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London.

Donations in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 63 Old Norwich Road, Quaker Hill, CT 06375.
