Pauline Yates Obituary

Mystic - Pauline M. Yates, 89, originally from Long Beach, Calif., died peacefully on Nov. 18, 2012, in Ann Arbor, Mich. She and her beloved husband, Capt. William K. Yates, USN, Ret., lived happily together for 29 years, first on River Road and then on Allyn Street in Mystic, until Bill died on Feb. 15, 2009, in New London.

In 2010, Pauline relocated to Michigan to be closer to her son, J. Daniel Strong.

Pauline and Bill leave behind a blended family of nine children, seven daughters and sons-in-law, 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A memorial celebration of Pauline's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 15 Pearl St., Mystic, CT 06355, with a reception following in the undercroft of the church. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church.

Sorry for the passing of Capt. William and recently Pauline Yates. I worked with Capt. Yates and knew Pauline while employed at Aquidneck Data and Aquidneck Management at NUSC, Fort Trumbull, New London, CT. For a loving couple, they are united once again and for all eternity.
