Peter Lawrence Chiovoloni Obituary
Bristol - Peter Lawrence Chiovoloni, 55, of Bristol, beloved husband of Lois (Philbrick) Chiovoloni and beloved father of Samuel Peter Chiovoloni, died tragically while vacationing with his family in the Dominican Republic on Thursday, August 2, 2012.

He was born Dec. 18, 1956, in New London, son of the late Sam and Marie (Beauregard) Chiovoloni. A longtime resident of Bristol, Peter was a tool and die maker at Tiger Enterprises in Southington. He was an avid Yankee fan, Giants fan, skier, and loved his trips out west with his family and friends. Most importantly, Peter saw his son, Sam, return home safely from Afghanistan. Peter will be remembered by everyone for his vast knowledge of a wide variety of subjects and his tenacious capacity for defending his opinion. He loved good fireworks, the love of a good cigar, and was extremely devoted and protective of his family. Peter was extremely industrious and finally realized his dream of opening his small machine shop, PLC Tool, LLC.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Chiovoloni of Bristol; his son, Samuel Peter Chiovoloni of Bristol and Sam's girlfriend, Amanda Fritz of Berlin; his sister, Gail DiMaggio of Naples, Fla.; his brother, Robert Chiovoloni and his wife, Alice Bruno of Guilford; his uncle, Thomas Chiovoloni of Arkansas; his aunt, Livia DiMaio of Providence, R.I.; various nieces, nephews, and cousins, being especially close to his cousins, David Chiovoloni of North Redding, Mass. and Dan DiMaio of North Haven; and will be missed by his beloved Labradors, "Toby" and "Jackson". Lois and Sam would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
