Waterford - Peter Petrillo, 86, of Waterford, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at New London Rehabilitation and Care Center.
He was born in New Haven, on July 20, 1926, the son of Domenic and Anna (Girardi) Petrillo.
He married Elizabeth (Abbato) Petrillo in St. Michael Church in New Haven, on May 30, 1951; she survives him.
Mr. Petrillo was employed by United Nuclear as an x-ray technician, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the United Nuclear bowling team and was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in New London.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Dominick Petrillo of Waterford; a daughter, Anna Gaudio and her husband, Joseph, of Rotunda West, Fla.; a grandson, Joseph Gaudio Jr. and his wife, Carrietta.
He was predeceased by his brothers, John and Henry Petrillo, and by his sister, Lucy Fries.
The funeral will assemble at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in St. Joseph Church at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Mausoleum. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
