Ray E. "Buster" Willcox Jr. Obituary
Ledyard - Ray E. "Buster" Willcox Jr., 82, of Ledyard, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at his home with his wife and family by his side.

He was born in New London, on April 30, 1930, the son of Ray E. Willcox Sr. and Mary Elvira (Pierce) Willcox. He was employed as a carpenter supervisor at Electic Boat for over 28 years before retiring in 1990.

Ray married Nora B. (Miner) Willcox on Oct. 2, 1948, at the Mystic Methodist Church. They were to have soon celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ray Willcox III, Darlene (Everett) Cheek, Lois Willcox-Mulhern (Stephen), Catherine Willcox and her partner, Jimmie, and Todd Willcox (Heidi); his siblings, Ernestine Mae Perkins, Goldie Robbins, and Elmer Willcox; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by siblings, Minnie Perkins, Phoebe Coates, and Sadie Greene.

Ray's family will greet relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., historic downtown Mystic. A graveside service will be held at a time to be announced on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Main-Brown Cemetery, Ledyard.
