Montville - Raymond Lee Popp, 76, of Glendale Road, Oakdale, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.

He was born March 17, 1936, in Westernport, Md., the son of the late Charles and Mary (Kitsmiller) Popp.
He married Maria Estepa on Dec. 19, 1959, in Spain. She survives him.
He served in the U.S. Navy for over 13 years until his discharge in 1967. He later worked as an electrical inspector at Electric Boat in Groton until his retirement in 1995.
In addition to his wife, Maria, he is survived by his sons, David Popp and Robert Popp; daughter, Christina Chapman and husband, Kyle; grandchildren, Mark Chapman, Nicole and Brittney Popp, George, Robert, and Sara Popp, and Jennifer Miller.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Norwich New London Tpke., Uncasville. Burial will be private for the family.
