It´s late. No one may ever read this. He was my 8th grade algebra teacher. He was awesome. Moved away for almost 40 years. Someone showed me our 8th grade year book. Ugh. Sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to learn of Rob's passing. I have known him since high school at Xavier. He was an amazing person even then, always willing to help others ... family, friends, students and his community. I also knew him at Fairfield University before he married and then transferred to UConn. Rob was a great math teacher at East Lyme Junior High School, working well with students and faculty alike. I know he helped many people through his stellar work in the pension business. It does not surprise me that even after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor that he chose to help others. Those of us who knew and loved Rob continue to miss him ... he always had a twinkle in his eye and great sense of humor. May you all be comforted by your memories of this special man, as I am.

Kristen and family... just wanted to let you know how evident it was that Rob was such a kind and intelligent professional with such integrity. I worked with him peripherally but nevertheless was 'blown away' by his excellence. I am so sorry for your loss. It truly is a loss for all... His kind is really rare. I'm glad to know that he packed a lot of memories in his too-short life. I hope that they bring you some comfort and please know that so many appreciated him and wish you well.

Bonette, Kim, Matt and Kristen: I had the good fortune of knowing all of you. Rob and I go back some 30 years. My favorite moments with him revovle around getting a good belly laugh out of him. He was such a good man, father and grandfather. He is reflected in all of you. He was so very proud of all of you and bragged to me many times about his wonderful family. He will be deeply missed. Remember the good times.

Kim and family, Jon and I are grieved about the death of your wonderful dad. We are so glad Sue-Elise was able to visit you and get to know your parents and siblings about 20 years ago. We cherish the time you were here in Burkesville with us and appreciate what you did to make Wade and Sue-Elise's wedding memorable.
We have appreciated being kept in the loop when your dad needed prayers and we will continue to remember your family as you face the days ahead. Our love and heartfelt sympathy, Judy and Jon Frederick

Rob was a nice, kind, funny, engaging, genuine, sincere, passionate person--and this list of positive adjectives could go on and on and on. This loss is absolutely crushing to humanity. My thoughts are with the family every day, and to all who knew Rob. He was truly one of a kind. His light shall shine on forever. Love, cousin David

Dearest Dad. Thank you for your love, compassion, affection, kindness, support, acceptance and wisdom. You are a great father, grandfather, mentor, and the greatest person to have known. Your shoes will be impossible to fill but our hearts will be forever filled with your love and teachings.
May the Lord bless your soul and make you a member of His army of angels.
We know you will continue to keep watch over us and give us your guidance for we may sometimes be lost without you. When we stumble, please stretch out your wings and help soften our fall. When we struggle, let your voice echo in our minds and in our hearts.
I will always love you too.
Your son, Chris Alexander
