Little Rock, Ark. - Robert Lewis Chapman, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, in Little Rock, Ark.

He was born in New London, and spent most of his life in Connecticut. Bob was a 1944 graduate of Robert E. Fitch Senior High School and served his country in the U.S. Army Air Forces. Prior to his retirement, Bob was the director of Quality Control at Kaman Aerospace Corp., where he worked for over 35 years.
He loved speedboats, cars, airplanes, along with the intricacies of mechanics and modern technology. Bob was a skilled craftsman and was always willing to help friends and relatives.
Bob is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nanella Chapman; his children, Robert Chapman and his wife, Shari, of Redding, Calif., Marion "Betsy" McComb and her husband, Charles, of Bloomfield, Julie Paradis and her husband, Ken, of Old Lyme; and a stepson, Donald Jones and his wife, Lynn, of Little Rock. Bob leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
