Cranston, R.I. - Ronald J. Pray Sr., 56, of Cranston, R.I., formerly of Stonington, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at home.

Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Laskovich) Pray. Ron lived most of his life in Stonington until the past five years when he lived in Cranston. While living and working in Stonington, he was a commercial fisherman who enjoyed clamming and sport fishing.
Being by the water was his greatest pleasure in life. He also enjoyed attending local circus and carnival events.
Ron is survived by his two sons, Ronald J. Pray Jr. and his fiancÃ©e, Laura Caron, of Westerly and Patrick A. Pray of Warwick, R.I.; two brothers, William A. Pray and his wife, Verna, of Pawcatuck and James A. Pray and his wife, Irene, of Stonington; and his companion, Diana Traversie of Cranston.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Dolores Blanchard and Barbara Jean Pray.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Mystic Funeral Home, Route 1, 51 Williams Ave., Mystic. A private graveside service will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic, at the convenience of the family.
