Delray Beach, Fla. - Rosalyn Leveton, 91, of 253 Normandy F, Delray Beach, Fla. formerly of New London, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

She was born on June 1, 1920 in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of Morris and Goldie Blonstein. She retired from the State of Connecticut Special Education Department. She was a member of the Beth Israel Synagogue in Springfield, Mass., the Welcome and Mystic Rebekah Lodges, which she was past nobel grand, Bloomfield Music Makers, New London Jewish Seniors and the Jewish Ladies Aide. She loved people, singing and entertaining.

She is survived by a son, Mark Leveton of Uncasville; and a daughter, Anita Dizengoff and her husband, Harold, of Delray Beach, Fla. She is also survived by sisters, Jean Bauman of New London, and Sylvia Ramer of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Rosalyn was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Robert Leveton, who died on May 29, 2000. She was also predeceased by a sister, Ruth Coffino.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, l2 Ocean Ave., New London. Burial will follow in the Jonathan Welfare Cemetery, Hartford.

Memorial week will be observed at the home of Mark Leveton, 91 Leffingwell Road, Uncasville. Also at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dizengoff, 419 Piedmont I, Delray Beach, Fla.

Memorial donations may be made to Congregation Ahavath Chesed, 590 Montauk Ave., New London, CT 06320, Delray Orthodox Synagogue, 7319 W. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach, FL 33446 and Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
