He was born on March 16, 1917, in New London, the son of Augustine Farina and Filimena (Rondinoni) Farina.
He was the widower of Catherine (Osinski) Farina. They were married in St. Mary Star of The Sea Church in 1947.
Mr. Farina was a veteran of World War II, serving in The Philippines with the U.S. Army. He was employed as a bartender and a grocery clerk. He was a member of the German Club, the Bilgewater Club, the VFW, and the OB's Club.
He is survived by his nieces, Tanya Sherman of Niantic and Pamela Zbierski of Mystic; also by his other nieces, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Antonette Miller, Lucy Metevier, and Joseph Farina.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, in Our Lady Perpetual Help, 63 Old Norwich Road, Quaker Hill. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New London.
