William Babcock Obituary

East Lyme - William E. Babcock III, 52, of East Lyme, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 6, 2012.

He was the son of Lillian and William Babcock. His struggles in life are over. May he find eternal peace. Bill was a graduate of East Lyme High School. He was content when he was making his wood crafts or out working in the garden. Fishing was by far his favorite thing to do.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Kathleen and Lynne; and his brother, Mark. He also leaves nieces, Courtney and Elisha; nephews, Aaron, Jacob, William, Jesse, Quincy and Lucas. I'm sure the nieces and nephews could tell many stories about their uncle Bill!

Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, in Christ Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Central Village.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Health Center, 1 Shaws Cove, New London, CT 06320.

To the entire Babcock family-
My thoughts and prayers are with you. God is good and He loves us all unconditionally. Billy is in a beautiful place, and while your hearts may be heavy with the loss, find consolation in the fact that God loves all of His children. You are in my prayers.
