William F. Coleman Obituary
Waterford - William F. Coleman, 64, of Boston Post Road, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, New London, after a brief illness.

He was born in New London, Aug. 22, 1947, the son of William and Mary (Murphy) Coleman. He attended New London High School and served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a veteran of the Vietnam era. In earlier years, Bill was employed as a service manager at Whaling City Ford and later went into sales for Whaling City Ford and Plaza Ford in East Lyme. He retired from Whaling City Ford in 2011.

Bill spent his retirement with his two beloved Bengal felines, washing his loud red Trans Am, entertaining family and friends on Facebook with his clever one-liners. He will also be missed by his lunch buddies, John M., Bob, Mark and Mary, Pam, Jake and many more, all of which were very close friends.

He is survived by a son, Stuart Coleman and his wife, Cindy, of Waterford; 3 brothers, Michael Coleman and his wife, Lois, of Niceville, Fla., John Coleman and his wife, Kim, of Jewett City, Robert Coleman and his wife, Ginger, of Griswold; close cousin, Patrick Hook and his wife, Bev, of San Antonio, Texas; 3 sisters, Anne Marie Rogers of Niantic, Ellen Fratus and her husband, John, of Waterford, Kathleen Branch and her husband, Robert, of Griswold. He has one grandchild, Katie Coleman; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Bill is also survived by his former wife, Patricia Coleman.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
