Waterford - Wilson A. Gore, formerly of Susan Ave., Voluntown, died on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Greentree Manor in Waterford.|
Mr. Gore was born on Oct. 23, 1940, the son of Daniel and Clara Gore. He was employed as a operatoring engineers, heavy equipment and crane operator local #478, until his retirement.
He enjoyed boating, and gardening, also working on cars and tractors. After a long battle with cancer, he's now at peace in the arms of the Lord.
Mr. Gore is survived by his two sons, Leslie Gore of East Lyme and Daniel Gore of Norwich; his three daughters, Julie Davis of Uncasville, Lois Hillyer of Niantic and Marie Gore of Norwich; his two sisters, Beverly Brown and Shirley Piacenza, both of Stonington; his seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his son, Wilson A. Gore Jr.; his four brothers, Howard, Daniel, Harold and Leslie Gore; and his two sisters, Dorothy Post and Helen Lathan.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, in Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, in the funeral home.
