Montville - Helen Marie (Mizov Morse) Coggeshall, formerly of Fitch Hill Road, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at the Groton Regency.

She was born Aug. 11, 1918, in Pascoag, R.I., the daughter of the late Andrew Mizov Morse and Mary (Benko). She married the late John L. Coggeshall Oct. 18, 1947 at the Central Baptist Church in Norwich. She had worked as a home economics teacher in Clinton, and as a PBX operator at The William W. Backus Hospital. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church, where she served as deaconess and was an active choir member. She was a past president of the Montville Historical Society. She loved music and especially loved to sing and play the piano. During her marriage, she devoted herself to her family, and was known for her excellent pies.

She is survived by her sons, Robert, John and James Coggeshall; daughter, Anne Wimsey; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and by her brother-in-law, Warren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Andrew; and sister, Anna.

A memorial service will be held in the spring.

Memorial donations in Helen Coggeshall's memory may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
