Montville - Beverly S. Armstrong, 64, wife of Lewis and daughter of Danny and Betty Stefanski, passed away on Sept. 10, 2013. |
Bev was a graduate of Montville High School and a lifelong resident of Montville. She continued her education in hair dressing and was a licensed hairdresser in the states of Connecticut and New Hampshire. After working several years in the banking industry, she earned her real estate license and then went back to hairdressing, opening her own shop.
Bev was devoted to her family and enjoyed planning family trips and events. She was famous for her trips to Walt Disney World and the annual river raft parties at the cabin. She enjoyed taking her three grandkids on trips to places like the Grand Canyon and Alaska. Even though she was not an outdoors person, she always had a new snowmobile in the trailer and was up for a ride when snow was on the ground at the cabin.
In addition to her loving husband, Lou, she is survived by her mother, Betty Stefanski; her son, Danny Johnson and wife, Missy, and their two sons, Dallas and Dakota of Weare, N.H.; daughter, Sheri Hoard and husband, Lonnie, and their son, Joshua of Colchester; her brother, Danny Stefanski and his wife, Kitty, of Weare; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and close friend, Sue Armstrong of Quakertown, Pa.
Calling hours will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Route 32, Uncasville, with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider becoming an organ donor. Organ donation gave the family an extra 12 wonderful years with Beverly.
