Groton - Loretta "Gloria" Fogg, 79, of Groton, passed away on Wednesday, March, 19, 2014, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London.

She was born on March 22, 1934, in New York City, the daughter of the late Dominic and Lena (Pisano) Angelo. Gloria married Philip W. Fogg on Aug. 19, 1961, who passed away in 2001. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Linwell Butler, of Tell City, Ind., as well as her younger sister, Jeanette Gwiazdowski, of New Jersey.

Mrs. Fogg took great pride in taking care of her children, as well as being a caregiver to her mother, her sister and to her husband in their time of illness. She worked in the food industry, Canteen (Electric Boat), Robert E. Fitch Sr. High School and The Groton Lodge of Elks.

She is survived by her six children, Glorialyn Stewart of Douglas, Mass., John Butler of Ledyard, Kevin Fogg of Groton, Kelly Fogg of Mesa, Ariz., Theresa Baker of Griswold and Kerri Cushman of Groton; her sister, Rose Sottile; her brothers, Anthony "Butch" Angelo, Michael Angelo, and Louis Pizzuti; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St. Her burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic. There will be a visiting hour from 10 to 11 a.m. Sat. prior to her service.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that any donations be directed to the charity of the donor's cShoice.
