Ledyard - Barbara A. Krawczyk, 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, from complications related to a recent surgery.

She was born in Wilson, on Jan. 12, 1932, to Margaret and John Woble. Barbara became the sole owner and operator of Rocky Knoll and Ledgewood Mobile Home Parks in Gales Ferry after her husband John passed away in 2007. Together they had managed the family business during their 54 years of marriage. Rocky Knoll Park, which they built in the 50s, continues to be one of the most beautiful parks in the state and is a legacy to their hard work.
Barbara is survived by her four children, daughter, Karen Champion, her husband Keith and daughter Blythe of Centreville, Va.; and sons, John from Arlington Va., Jeffrey and his wife, Lisa, and children, Haley and Chance from Wethersfield, and Kenny from Gales Ferry.
She is survived by her sister, Sharon Covini; her brothers, Edward, Thomas and Richard; and several nieces and nephews.
Sisters, Ella Woble and Helen Brooks; and brothers, John, Walter, James and Michael, all predeceased Barbara.
Calling Hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1650 Route 12, Gales Ferry. Burial will follow in Avery Stoddard Cemetery in Ledyard.
