Stonington - Mildred (Capwell) Paladino, of Morgan St., Pawcatuck, passed away at Apple Rehab Clipper on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the age of 87. She was the wife of the late David A. Paladino.|
Born in New London, she was a daughter of Irvin and Daisy Capwell.
Mildred was a communicant of St. Pius X Church, Westerly.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Connie Butler of Pawcatuck and Carol (Brian) Gibb of Westerly; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister, Lois Beebe.
Millie and Dave were the proprietors of The Elms Nursing Home for more than 30 years. In life, Millie valued her family and service to others.
Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. An additional visiting hour will be held in St. Matthias Church, 317 Chesterfield Road, East Lyme, from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will take place in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.
