Waterford - Carmela I. Razzano, 83, of Waterford, entered eternal life on April 19, 2014, at home in the comfort of her loving family.|
She was born April 3, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (Russo) Iannone.
She was united in marriage to Alberto Razzano on July 10, 1954, in Our Lady of Loretta Church in Brooklyn. She was predeceased by her husband on May 29, 2004.
Carmela was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Quaker Hill. She was an active member serving as a Eucharistic Minister giving communion to the sick and serving as past treasurer for the OLPH Ladies Guild.
She is survived by four sons and their families, Joseph Razzano of Virginia, Anthony Razzano of Tolland, Albert Razzano of Stonington, and Edward Razzano of New York City; two siblings, Alfonso Iannone of New York and Marie Pergola of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Kevin, Michael, and Cristina Razzano.
Her family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today, April 23, at Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. The funeral will assemble at 10 a.m. on Thursday and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
