Waterford - Lena P. Devlin, 100, of Waterford, entered eternal life on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at home in the comfort of her loving family.|
She was born April 10, 1914, in New London, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Mona) Valentini. She was united in marriage to Conrad V. Devlin Sr. who passed away Jan. 15, 1984.
Mrs. Devlin was employed at Stop & Shop for 17 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Italian Dramatic Club and the Waterford Senior Citizens. Mrs. Devlin was a communicant of St. Paul Parish.
She is survived by her son, Conrad "Connie" Devlin and wife, Janice, of Waterford; two granddaughters, Kathleen Bartelli and Donna Devlin and fiance, James Moreau; five great-grandchildren, Bob, Cabrina, Kaitlyn, Billy and Michael, all of Waterford; and a great-great grandchild, Talulah.
She was predeceased by a great-grandchild, Brooke Bartelli; and five siblings, Theresa Vescovi, Nora Pasqualini, Mary Farmer, Vera Malinowski and Aldo Valentini.
Her family will receive relatives and friends from 3 to 5 pm Sunday, at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London.
The funeral will assemble at 9 a.m. Monday, and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church, Waterford. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
