Warwick, R.I. - Rick Eberle, 52, died unexpectedly Oct. 18, 2011, at his home in Warwick.

He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on March 11, 1959, the son of Frederick and Mary (Igoe) Eberle. He was the husband of Kathy (Johnson) Eberle. He was a graduate of East Lyme High School. Rick was self-employed as an international seafood broker. He loved traveling, fine dining and was a gourmet cook. He enjoyed hanging out on the lake in his backyard and fishing.
In addition to his beloved wife, Kathy and son Michael Richard, of Warwick, he is survived by his mother, Mary Eberle of Niantic; two brothers, Michael Eberle of Boston and John Eberle of Niantic; a sister, Kathy Giroux of Guilford; and beloved nieces and& nephews, Melissa and Sara Giroux, Kate, Kelly, and Lauren Eberle, Stacy (Newcomb), Connor and Brady Teele, Jim Newcomb, Justine, Cory, Amy and Jamee Johnson, and Micaela Leblanc. Rick also leaves his sisters-in law, Robin Soule Eberle, Beverly Newcomb, Sheila, Donna and Marie Johnson; and brothers-in-law, David Giroux, Bob and Ron Johnson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at Flanders Baptist and Community Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the S.P.C.A or Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Association are appreciated.
