Montville - Debra A. Tucker, 54, of Uncasville, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, after a short illness.|
She was born in Cranston, R.I., Nov. 18, 1958, the daughter of Kenneth and Carolyn (Berghahn) Whitman. She was the wife of Sherry Catania who survives her. Ms. Tucker was a 1977 graduate of East Providence High School, and was employed at the York Correctional Institution in Niantic as a registered nurse.
In addition to Sherry, she is survived by a daughter, Nicole Brayton of Narragansett, R.I.; a son, Jeremy Tucker of Narragansett, R.I.; two brothers, Kenneth Whitman and his wife, Michelle, of Riverside, R.I., Clinton Whitman and his wife, Pam, of Barrington, R.I.; her brother-in-law, Frank Mulvey; a grandchild, Shealin Brayton; and four nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Lynn Mulvey.
Calling hours are from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 6 p.m. at the funeral home by Life Tribute Specialist Pat Moody. Interment will be private.
